Our mission is to change the way clothes are made to improve the environment, reinvigorate America’s manufacturing sector, and educate the world about how clothing can positively impact people’s lives.
Made in USA. Manufactured entirely within the United States, SustainU clothing is creating news jobs and re-opening existing textile factories, bringing economic hope to many communities and families. SustainU works with a network of factories that are experts in the cutting and sewing of garments that includes the sole remaining Union textile factory in The United States. These factories allow for the large-scale output of finished goods, giving SustainU the ability and flexibility to work on various apparel programs simultaneously.
Zero virgin resources. SustainU apparel is made from two types of staple yarn: recycled pre-consumer cotton waste and post-consumer recycled polyester (PET), which is derived primarily from plastic bottles and post-industrial polyester scraps. Made in the textile regions of North and South Carolina and Tennessee, SustainU clothing requires zero-virgin growth and minimal transportation, reducing both costs and environmental impact.
Feels good. The general perception is that recycled and American-made clothing is inferior in quality and high in price. SustainU fabrics are knit by innovators in the textile field and have an exceptionally soft hand developed over the last decade. And SustainU maintains high standards regarding fabric, construction and printing processes, including 100% inspection throughout the entire manufacturing process and a quality assurance guarantee for all customers.
Wear a better story. Clothing has the unique ability to unite, inspire and communicate shared values. Today, more than ever, people want to make a positive difference and millions of people are finding unique ways to do just that. They are living incredible stories of change and hope. SustainU is excited to help tell and make it possible for the the world to wear an even better story.
